大規模農業シム「Farming Simulator 22」は新世代機も対応し今秋にリリース。季節の移り変わりが加わり農場に雪も降る

　スイスのGIANTS Softwareは，大規模農業シミュレーションシリーズ最新作となる「Farming Simulator 22」（PC / Mac / PS5 / Xbox Series X / PS4 / Xbox One）を，今秋にリリースすることをアナウンスし，そのティザートレイラーを公開した。


　シリーズで初めて新世代機向けにも対応される「Farming Simulator 22」は，GIATNS Softwareがセルフパブリッシングを行う初めてのタイトルでもある。トレイラーでも雪景色が大きくフィーチャーされているように，同社の最新ゲームエンジン“GIANTS Engine 9”により四季の移り変わりが表現されるようだ。新たに提携されたメーカーを含めて，日本でも北海道などで見かけるような，100ブランド400種以上にもおよぶ大型の農耕機械を収録。麦，綿，イモ，トウモロコシを始めとするさまざまな農作物を植えて，成長を見守り，収穫から出荷までを行う農業のほか，畜産や林業など幅広く手がけていくことになる。



　季節が変わっていくことによって，具体的にゲームプレイにどのような影響が出るのかといった細かいところまではアナウンスされていないものの，雪を含めた地表テクスチャーは一新されているようだ。農耕機械には新しいカテゴリーが加わるとのことなので，これまでにない生産物や農場の手入れ作業を行っていく可能性も十分にありそうだ。また，AI機能を向上させているほか，農耕機械のギアを変えたときや，積み荷の重さによってエンジンの回転数も変わるといったところも拘っているようなので，これまで以上のリアリズムが期待できそうだ。


　現時点では，「Farming Simulator 22」のSteamストアページは公開されておらず，これ以上の詳しい情報はないものの，シリーズ総計2500万本という隠れたヒットシリーズだけに，日本での展開を含めた今後の情報を楽しみにしておきたいところである。
